I NEED ALONE TIME

Again, let me apologize for the delay in updating the blog. I hope you can forgive me.  I made pancakes today. I made them for my nieces and nephew. They are on summer break and breakfast is more like 3pm or 4pm. (THAT'S DINNER!)

Am I the only one that goes through this? I'm pretty sure I'm not. I need alone time. I'm not saying permanently. I mean a couple of days to clear my head. Let's be real. Who can live with someone without feeling any stress, arguments or lack of patience and compromise. I keep telling myself that I'm the bad guy for wanting to be by myself for a couple of days. But am I? NO!

Was it the whole shopping for a car experience that took a toll on me? I remember I used to drive in the middle of the night to Corpus Christi beach (when it was nice and decent), and sit on the beach shore; let my feet get wet. Then, drive back. Corpus Christi is about two and a half hours from my home. I can't do that anymore. Not that I want to right now, bur I remember the freedom I had to be able to do that.

I don't want to be away from family and friends. On the contrary, I would rather be around family and friends. I used to do this to family and friends too. Stay away for a while and clear my head. Or have a friend to hang out with or drive to Corpus beach. I have a lot of questions. I have a lot to say that I can't say here.

Hopefully, we can wake up on a Sunday morning. Make coffee and pancakes and everything will be alright.

Praying!!

Thanks all!

Sandra

I love New York

I LOVE NEW YORK!

What is it about New York that makes me want to go back? I've been at least twice and will visit again. I love the subway. It's like I time travel through all the movies I've watched that have taken place at the subway station: Warriors, King Kong, Ghost, the Matrix, etc.

I know I can visit other places but I miss New York. MTV studio in Manhattan. The ferry ride to the Statue of Liberty is so relaxing. The rude people that are usually frustrated, because I don't know why. The hustlers selling things like music CDs; a picture with a Disney or animated character; and pamphlets for $1. What's on the pamphlet? Over 100 sex positions.

I have seen  a lot in New York. The diversity of people from Germany, Cuba and other countries other than the South. I was also able to visit Ground Zero on its first anniversary. You can feel the grief as soon as you walked into the area. I have to look for the pictures.

All I'm saying is New York is worth visiting.
