Why Slap Married? Slap Married is like a slap in the face to help let go of the fairy tale behind the dream of being married. This blog is pretty much a "vent about your marriage" blog or "how can I relate" blog. I noticed while talking to my friends and family, especially 'newbies in relationships', that we have similar frustrations, issues and some not so similar. I can start with one personal experience I have recognized from being married, but also while being engaged and moving in with my fiance at the time.   


My husband has a habit of storing items in unusual places. For example, I once noticed my Lemon Pepper seasoning missing from the cabinet where I normally store the seasonings. I look and look and it’s nowhere to be found. Hijole! So now I have to add it to the weekly grocery list. 


Seasonings are not cheap, so putting that sucker on the grocery list was eating me up inside. Well, lo and behold!! I found it in the freezer!! How in the world…?


This is a small example of what my blog will be about and of course anything else my readers would like to share, discuss or disagree on. 


As a visitor here, you are part of a  community willing to share stories, ideas, and feedback to make this community able to relate to all. All visitors can contribute and engage in common areas related to married life or anything personal that might encourage other readers that it's ok to laugh and cry and talk about situations you can't always discuss with others.  You never know if you might find the answer you need here or venting was all you needed.

I have received some feedback and words to encourage! Please read! 


Christine - Throwing in the towel is easy, working towards the perfect marriage or at least a peaceful one is very hard. But, it does get better and yes patience is the key but so is communication, forgiveness, sense of humor and a rod helps too. my favorite tool is sense of humor. If we learn to not be too serious and laugh at things together it will make some things better in the long run. So work hard at love, peace, laughter in the marriage but never spare the rod! Just a thought.


DeeDee -  Congrats to the newlyweds, blessings to them always, I could imagine how the wedding brought back the memories, memories are to be reminisced upon often so we always remember what drew us to our loved ones, just saying, if we all would remember the reasons we fell in love maybe there would be more relationships lasting. The car sales guy had yet to be reckoned with my friend, lol glad your hubby had you and supported you in so many ways.
